Dearborn's Arab Americans feel vindicated by Harris' loss

Dearborn residents swung toward Trump. It was a protest vote against Harris and Biden.

In the initial days after the election, as Democrats despaired over the results, Dearborn residents felt unsurprised by President-elect Donald Trump's resounding win, according to interviews with nearly a dozen Arab American leaders in this densely populated Muslim city just outside Detroit. Adding to their sense that they were right, their protest vote was not limited solely to Arab Americans, who make up a fraction of the U.S. population. Oh the irony, as more women and children will die, on the same soil that includes Dearborn, Michigan. American voters wanted to overturn, AND avoid dangerous GOP policies by NOT electing the Insurrectionist Elect! We will not support Michael Sareini, Amer Zahr, nor any patriarchal clown, who pretends to care about the killing of women and children, while standing with white supremacist insurrectionists, who do not care about the death or killing of ANYONE, especially as white nationalists begin to wield their new power. Dearborn, Michigan voters should not be surprised as they travel through red states, nor get comfortable in blue states now targeted and invaded by Jim Crow benefactor hatriots 🤨. For generations, U.S. women have fought for freedoms and civil rights that we solidified before the Insurrectionist Elect and his 2016-2020 SCOTUS. Skip to hundreds of years later. Dearborn voters for the Insurrectionist Elect, sooooo worried about Palestine or Israel, while living here, under comforts that we created TOGETHER, sold out women, plus children/gun safety, LGBTQ+ AND infrastructure. Dearborn voters — living here comfortably while Middle East areas suffer, then turned around and voted against hundreds of years of progress in the U.S. Where IS the solidarity for peace on one's own soil, while expecting peace abroad?

Why not move to Middle East and take care of the Balfour Act foreign policy problem, instead of sitting here comfortably, watching the suffering, while voting against your fellow citizens, citizens who do NOT live in the Middle East, nor ever have? Or instead of a protest vote against Kamala Harris, address the issue directly with Middle East leaders, with the amount of wealth that flows through Dearborn, Michigan, given GOP and other government officials are apathetic to humanitarian causes, unless the faces are white and wealthy. And why not protest the Insurrectionist Elect who gave Israel unlimited powers and intel after stealing classified documents on his way out of office in 2021?

The Middle East conflict is also a UK-created Balfour Act problem, which has ensnared multiple countries for generations, because of greed, misinformation and bigotry. However, other nations for a two-state solution and birthright citizenship for Palestinians, do NOT support the Insurrectionist Elect. But Dearborn, Michigan voters do. Woodrow Wilson also wholly supported Arthur Balfour. Yet, persons in Dearborn, Michigan expected foreign policy to be different since 1912, while continually electing and/or supporting GOP conservatives and white supremacists, who delight at brown persons getting shot at will (6th and 14th Amendment violations)? But the black woman, who understood human rights violations and was stepping into her OWN role as POTUS — an historic first, who only had one hundred days to campaign was deemed "more of the same," eh? Again, congratulations, Dearborn, "you played yourself"!

The protests against Kamala were also disrespectful. Amer Zahr would never have protested the Insurrectionist Elect AND never did, as BOTH parties were running for office.

Women here are not disposable property, at-will concubines, voiceless persons, nor Jezebel's. But, are persons who have their own dreams, lives and freedoms. Freedoms that allowed women to nuture children to dream beyond their wildest dreams. Freedoms that made this country a coveted place to immigrate to, for family safety. Freedoms that are now more under attack by the Insurrectionist Elect and his Project 2025 fascists!

Women and children here will also be subjected to anti-abortion rulings that do not apply to the Middle East, including Israel, which offers abortion on demand as healthcare. So, where is the solidarity with women, who are often the first smiling faces seen upon arrival, just about anywhere, and especially towards children?

Children here are also emotionally traumatized by the outcome of the election, while children in the Middle East are traumatized daily. But, like GOP feels about kids shot in classrooms here, "fuck them kids," huh, Dearborn? And if Dearborn, Michigan voters for the Insurrectionist Elect think that this country will be safe for any children "darker than white," already here or seeking asylum under Stephen Miller and the Insurrectionist Elect, think again!

We NOW see what Arab Americans think of women, especially black women, and they are not in solidarity with us, but would rather elect a madman, surrounded by toxic males, because of a country that millions of women, HERE, have ZERO ties to! Palestine would have had a better chance of survival with Kamala, Ilhan, Rashida, and other empathetic politicians. Women get things done, we do not have time to FAFO!

Meanwhile, U.S. women have supported this country, even when their country did not support them. Women have worked through sacrifice after sacrifice. Women have been the sole providers for families, to keep families safe, immediate and extended families. All while managing work, home, family, education, and even military service for THIS country and the Middle East, only to become fodder for toxic men who cannot resolve their tiny d energy problems.

And we women shop. A lot. But, our money is no longer good at any business owned by a Dearborn, Michigan voter for the Insurrectionist Elect!

How ironic that GOP members screamed "Sharia Law" after the election of President Obama, only for Arab Americans to come to the rescue of white supremacists, who have been plotting and planning since the end of the Civil War, or in David Duke's case, since 2001. Take a look at Project 2025's mandates, and see how many "rules" mirror Sharia Law, especially, the man shall be head of household parts. Even bigger irony: GOP members STILL terrorize Muslim Americans, and even persons they believe are Muslim Americans.

Muslim Americans Respond to Donald Trump's Nomination of Elise Stefanik

Stefanik, the House Republican Conference chair, has long been among Trump's most loyal allies in the House and was reportedly a potential vice presidential pick. Trump praised her aggressive questioning of three university presidents during a hearing on antisemitism on college campuses last year amid protests against Israel's war in Gaza in the aftermath of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack.

After the announcement, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, the deputy executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), said the organization disagrees with Stefanik's nomination "given her hostility towards free speech and human rights" and encourages Trump to nominate foreign policy officials who "always put American interests over the interests of any foreign government."

"We encourage him to nominate foreign policy officials who respect free speech, support human rights, and always put American interests over the interests of any foreign government, including [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu's out-of-control government, which wants to bait our nation into a war with Iran and waste more American taxpayer dollars on its genocidal war in Gaza," Mitchell said in a statement provided to Newsweek.
