AVOID: Walmart

Walmart should have been our first entry for products/services to avoid. The reasons are obvious!

  1. Undocumented workers, who are mistreated and unpaid, if not underpaid.
  2. Made in China!! But hey, now that Paul Ryan can stop promoting his rhetoric, that it costs too much to manufacture in the U.S., Ryan’s “beloved” #TaxCutsAndJobsAct will bring back “Made In USA”, right? NOPE!
  3. Capitalism: A Love Story explains a lot of what was already known about Walmart, and why they’ll never be supported.
  4. Gross mistreatment of employees, especially female employees, as well as gross mistreatment of customers.

A customer was injured when a 20-lb container fell on her leg. The customer only wanted Walmart to take caution, as that container, placed onto a top shelf, could have also fallen onto a child’s head. Walmart’s response from the Milpitas, California store managers in 1994: manhandle the black female customer by two white male, transplant managers from Arkansas (Dwayne/Dwight and his redneck twin), throw the customer out, then called the Milpitas Police Department. The police were in shock, but had the follow Walmart-slavemaster’s wishes. The irony is, Walmart asked that the customer not return, and while her swollen, bruised and throbbing leg was being treated by an ambulance outside of the store. The customer was a software engineer from Silicon Valley, who had ZERO intention of ever returning to that store, not even to watch it go out of business! One female employee did run out to the woman, as she was leaving, to advise her, the redneck managers treat employees like slaves, property.
  5. Walmart’s unethical management! See above.

But it’s “amazing” to see so many progressives shop at Walmart. Walmart defies progress, equality, fairness and decency on every single level!
