This week [week of Feb 25, 2025], I traveled across the country with my newborn son to vote against the GOP's outrageous plan to rip away healthcare from millions of kids, seniors, pregnant women, and so many more - all so they can give tax breaks to their billionaire donors and friends.
Republican Leadership blocked my ability to vote remotely after giving birth to my son, Sam. It's outrageous that they would force new parents to choose between caring for our newborn and representing our constituents — but absolutely nothing could stand in my way from being in the Capitol to vote against their cruel and dangerous bill.
You better believe that I'll be there - no matter how challenging it might be - when Republicans are trying to strip away critical programs like Medicaid and SNAP.
